Welcome to Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School's music department website!
Trudeau Music is one of the largest high school music departments in Ontario, consisting of multiple wind, string, jazz, and vocal ensembles. Each year, Trudeau Music's ensembles participate in various music festivals and competitions and receive numerous awards.
Activities & Events
FESTIVALS
Trudeau Music's ensembles participate annually in festivals including the Kiwanis Music Festival, Ontario Band Association (Concert Band Festival), and MusicFest Canada Nationals. More can be found in the Awards page.
GUESTS
Various notable composers and musicians have previously been invited to speak and work with the ensembles. Some include Eugene Migliaro Corporon, Frank Ticheli, Elliot del Borgo, Robert Sheldon, Stephen Bulla, and Doctor Andrew Boysen Jr.
TRAVEL
Trudeau Music has traveled and performed in numerous cities around the world including Ottawa, New York, Washington DC, and Chicago. In addition, there is a Europe trip held every three years for music students in grade 10, 11, and 12.
